The GMC Chevette was manufactured by GM Argentina from 1980–1995, and is a variation on General Motors' first World Car based on the General Motors T-car platform which includes Opel Kadett, Chevrolet Chevette and Isuzu Gemini, made and/or sold globally is several versions. This model of the small family car differed from the German model as it had a 1.8 engine designed entirely in Argentina. It was replaced by the Chevrolet Kadett in 1995.
